This program, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) provides PTI services to the Panhandle of Florida from Escambia to Alachua County.
Helping to ensure that parents of children with the full range of disabilities have the training and information they need to prepare their children for not only school, but to be able to lead productive, independent lives to the fullest extent possible.

The Parents of the Panhandle Information Network offers free help and information to families of students with disabilities and the professionals that serve them. Our main focus is on the educational needs of students with disabilities.

We believe informed parents are a child's best advocate, and that parents and professionals working together provide the best resources for our children.

 

POPIN’s own experience with disabilities:

Nicole Brown has 9 year old son with Autism. She has been active in the autism and disability community for seven years. Her beautiful son led her to her path in the disability community; she has been with working with family network for two years.
