Storytime will be conducted by The Dunedin Public Library, Art from the Heart Café will be there for pottery painting, and Phinley of the Clearwater Threshers will make a special appearance at 11:00 am. There will be a free bounce house, free food, and much more! Please join us!

Agencies all across Florida will be hosting local events leading up to Children's Week.  Go to http://www.childrensweek.org/index.php?page=local&menu=eventsbycounty to find an event in your area.

Children can decorate paper cut-outs of their hands for FND staff to take to Tallahassee to hang in the Capitol Rotunda on Sunday, April 3. This artwork will remain hanging in the Rotunda all of Children's Week as a visual reminder to legislators to remember our children.

Read a Book, Give a Book Campaign

In addition to participating in local Children's Week events (and maybe even traveling to Tallahassee), you can help get 5,000 free books into the hands of children by participating in the Pearson Foundation's We Give Books initiative. Visit www.wegivebooks.org/campaigns/united-way-of-florida with a child and read some of your favorite children's books online for free. With each digital book you read to a child, the Pearson Foundation will give a brand new book to a local Children's Week partner to give to children in their community.
