Family Network on Disabilities (FND) is currently seeking a full time Director for our National Native American Parent Training and Information Center. 

This program helps to ensure that Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Alaskan Native families of children with the full range of disabilities have the training and information they need to prepare their children for not only school, but to be able to lead productive, independent lives to the fullest extent possible. 

Qualifications for this position include:

·         A parent of a child with a disability in the public school system or an individual with a disability that has a strong firsthand knowledge of IDEA 2004 and 504.

·         Strong written and verbal communication/conflict resolution skills

·         Must be comfortable with public speaking

·         Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills

·         Strong computer skills including but not limited to: social networking, online research, powerpoint, and word.

 ·         Familiar with Native American outreach and cultural differences

·         Ability to work independently

·         Ability to bring new ideas to the table

·         Ability to travel the country
