Registration is now open for the 4th Annual Heart and Hope Statewide Family Conference on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 8:30am to 4:30 pm at Southwest Middle School in Orlando, Florida.
What is Heart and Hope? It’s a full day event that is designed to help bring individuals who are at risk, families who have children with disabilities and the professionals who serve them awareness in of their options and rights that are available to them within the school system and beyond.
There will be workshops, keynote speakers, a FunCamp for kids (registration required as space will be limited), vendor displays and information, a silent auction and more!
Topics to be covered in the workshops will include IEP, IDEA, Dispute Resolution, Related Services, Collaborative Communication, Evaluation and more! Workshops will be presented in English, Spanish and Creole.
Who should attend Heart and Hope? Parents/family members of students with disabilities, self-advocates, professionals, agencies, providers and other
interested parties.
